SNAP Notes…

IMPORTANT: NEW EVENT

Sunday, April 24 is World Wide Pin Hole Photography Day! Our guest speakers for our Aprilpinhole
26 SNAP meeting, Denny Adcock and Gerald Figal have organized a pin hole shoot as part of this event. Interested persons meet on Sunday at the Carillon at the Bicentennial Mall around 1pm. There should be adequate parking in that area. Denny has a pin hole Nikon body cap he can loan and Gerald has a couple of cameras. Gerald is also willing to process and scan B/W film.

For details you can contact him: gerald.figal@gmail.com This should be an informative and fun shoot, so if you are just beginning your pin hole journey or are an old China hand, be sure to turn out. “At the meeting we’ll talk about what we shot, with emphasis on the variety of things one can do with a pinhole camera, things not easily done with lens cameras.” http://pinholeday.org/

APRIL MEETING

Tuesday, April 26 is our monthly SNAP meeting at Dury’s, 6:30 pm. As mentioned above, our topic will be Pin Hole Photography, conducted by Denny Adcock and Gerald Figal. If you have some pin hole work to show and discuss, even if you are unable to make the Sunday shoot, please bring them along. We want to see ’em. gerald.figal@gmail.com, denny.adcock@gmail.com

The show went up yesterday without a hitch. This Thursday (just two (2) days away) is our reception, 5:00 to 7:00pm. There is some, but limited parking behind Provence. The Belcourt lot is mostly torn up for construction. Thanks to Wesley Duffee-Brown and Emily Passino for organizing this wonderful exhibit and to all the artists for their outstanding photographs.
