Our November meeting will welcome S.N.A.P. member Richard Barrow. His topic, “Photography Along Our Greenways” is a ‘quick start’ guide for nature photographers, encouraging them to explore other greenways beyond their local parks. Richard prepares a calendar for a non-profit branch of the Nashville Parks Dept. called “Greenways for Nashville”. In the process, he photographs year round in the greenways and his presentation covers his favorite spots (and favorite parks) as starting points for photographers.
We will meet at our usual 6:30 time next Tuesday, November 22 at Belmont United Methodist Church: 2007 Acklen Ave, Nashville, TN 37212, (615) 383-0832
The submissions are in for our next Provence exhibit : “Inspired by Art”. Our Juror is Wesley Paine, Director of the Parthenon. She will join us for the January or February SNAP meeting for a conversation about her selections.
Deadline for submission: Saturday, November 12th.
Notification of selections: Sunday, November 20th.
The show will be hung Monday, December 5th (from 3:00-6:00)
The accepted images should not be larger than 16 x 20 framed out, or smaller than 8 x 10 framed out. Black frames with white matting. Remember, Provence only supplies nails at this point, so have wire across the back. You will receive a link to supply information about your print (name of photograph, etc.) for the title cards.

Holiday Portrait Fundraiser for NCD:
It’s that time of year again! Time for way-too-early Christmas decorations, fights about coffee cups and manger scenes, and the dreaded/highly anticipated onslaught of holiday music on radio stations across the land!
To ring in the season, the Nashville Community Darkroom is offering a great deal on holiday portraits — $65 gets you a 30-minute session and 5 digital images for you to do whatever you want with! Make them into holiday cards! Post them on facebook! Send them out in your family’s annual newsletter! Wait, do people still do that?
When: Sun, November 20, 2016, 12:00 PM – 3:30 PM CST
Where: NCD – 1143 GALLATIN AVENUE, NASHVILLE TN 37206
As a huge bonus, every single dollar goes to support your 501(c)(3) nonprofit Nashville Community Darkroom. This is our big annual fundraiser, so come on out, get some portraits and help us ring in 2016!
